This Hussain Sagar Lake was built in 16th century by Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah and is the largest man-made lake in the Asian subcontinent. It acts as a boundary between the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. One of the tallest monolithic statues of the Buddha stands in the middle of the lake which was inaugurated by the Dalai Lama in 1993. Boat rides, water sports, and fish culture are some of the other attractions in this lake.
